“Satyajit Gogoi is a poet with his own distinction for which he is a poet who cannot be missed even in a big group of poets. Humane and nature both can be seen with embracing each other in his poems.”

Nagen Saikia, Sahitya Akademi Award Winner Author

“The capitalistic and colonial nature of the state leads to the destruction of forests, hills, rivers, rivulets, swamps and cropland in the name of development and undermines the age old deep rooted cultural relationship between man and nature. From such a perspective, time now may seem inappropriate for writing poetry. But poetry has always been a strong protest against such adverse circumstances. Gogoi’s poems are a clear proof held up before us. I believe, his poems will add a new dimension to Assamese poetry.”
